Complex Breast Revision: Case 1
Description
This is a 34 year old woman who underwent breast augmentation 10 years ago, elsewhere, with 400 cc saline implants. Those implants had bottomed out, and were out of the pocket. Saline is also heavy, so it disrupted her inframammary fold, and left her with no cleavage, in addition to being too far lateral. Generally, a big mess, and a difficult revision. She had trouble getting help with her problem. She consulted with Dr. Linville, and he performed a complex breast revision on her, which included down-sizing to a smaller, silicone implant that is less heavy (365 cc SoftTouch), fixing the side of the pocket, repairing and lifting the IMF (inframammary fold), which is critical. She also had too much separation of the implants in the mid-line, which was corrected with the pocket repair, and doing a medial dual plane I technique. Look at how much better she looks!
